_Gregg Colburn holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. At Kellogg, Mr. Colburn concentrated on finance and strategy. Gregg Colburn received his undergraduate degree in economics and management from Albion College in Albion, Michigan.
Gregg Colburn began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. While at Goldman, Mr. Colburn spent his first two years as a junior member of the mergers & acquisitions division. Subsequently, he accepted a position at the firm's Chicago office, where he provided support to the firm's Midwestern clients. While in Chicago, Gregg Colburn continued his mergers and acquisitions focus while also working on a number of traditional corporate finance transactions.
At the end of his third year, Gregg Colburn left Goldman Sachs. In 1998, Mr. Colburn joined private equity firm Frontenac Company's investment team and focused on buyouts for service-focused businesses. Following his time at Frontenac, Mr. Colburn then spent five years as Vice President at Citadel Investment Group's Private Investments department. While at Citadel, he had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of debt, equity and equity-linked transactions.
In 2005, Gregg Colburn helped to co-found Interlachen Capital Group, where he has served as a Parter responsible for the firm's Private Investments strategy. While at Interlachen, Mr. Colburn has executed a wide variety of privately-negotiated transactions in both public and private companies.
